Gigabit Ethernet Switch User's Guide Switch Monitoring The Switch uses an SNMP agent which monitors different aspects of network traffic. The SNMP agent keeps counters and statistics on the operation of the Switch itself, and on each port on the Switch. The statistics obtained can be used to monitor the conditions and general efficiency of the Switch. Network Monitoring The Network Monitoring menu offers six items, Traffic Statistics, Browse Address Table, Browse IGMP Status, Browse GVRP Status, Browse GMRP Status, and Switch History. Choose Network Monitoring from the main menu. The following menu appears. Figure 6-51.
