Networking Enhanced memory and memory expansion Energy savings Economical printing Print cartridges q The 2500L and 2500 models provide an EIO slot for an optional HP Jetdirect print server card for fast and easy connectivity. (The 2500n and 2500tn models include the HP Jetdirect print server card.) q All common network protocols such as Ethernet, Token Ring, and LocalTalk are available using HP Jetdirect print server cards. q Wireless networking (802.11b) is available with the HP Jetdirect print server card (model J6058A). q The printer comes with 64 MB of memory and can be expanded to 256 MB with the DIMM slots. Most documents can be printed using the standard amount of printer memory through the aid of Memory Enhancement technology (MEt). MEt automatically compresses data, virtually doubling the printer memory and allowing more complex printing with available memory. q The printer automatically conserves electricity by substantially reducing power consumption when not printing. q As an ENERGY STAR® partner, Hewlett-Packard Company has determined that this product meets ENERGY STAR guidelines for energy efficiency. ENERGY STAR® is a U.S. registered service mark of the United States Environmental Protection Agency. q N-up printing and two-sided printing using manual duplexing saves paper.
