Default = OFF This item sets the printer to pause during large print jobs (after every 100 pages) so that you can clear the output tray. Default = OFF This item sets the default personality to automatic switching, PCL5, PCL6, or PostScript emulation. Default = AUTO This item sets the default language. Select it from the list of supported languages. Default = ENGLISH This item sets the length of time (from 5 to 300 seconds) that the printer waits for remaining data for a print job. If that time is exceeded, the printer prints the print job. Default = 15 This item allows you to access submenus for the HP Jetdirect print server, if one is installed. For details, see Changing networking parameters from the control panel. This item restores all values to the printer's predetermined factory values. Configure Device menu
Items in this menu affect printer behavior. Configure the printer according to your
printing needs.
Resetting the printer
You may need to reset the printer in the following circumstances:
You want to restore the printer’s default settings.
Communication between the printer and computer has been interrupted.
CAUTION
When you use the restore factory settings option on this menu, you can lose printer
configuration settings.
Note
This option does not reset an HP Jetdirect print server to its default settings if one is installed
in the printer. To reset the HP
