MEMORY CHANNELS 5 ■ Memory bank setting The IC-R6 has a total of 22 banks (A to R, T, U, W and Y). Regular memory channels 000 to 1299 can be assigned to any desired bank, for easy memory management. q H old down [S.MW](V/M) for 1 second to enter the select memory write mode. • 1 short and 1 long beep sounds. • The " " icon and memory channel number blink. w Rotate [DIAL] to select a desired memory channel. e W hile holding down [MODE], rotate [DIAL] to select the "BANK" item. • The bank group and channel number are displayed if the select- ed memory channel has already been assigned to a bank. • The "BANK" item can also be selected by pushing [MODE] repeatedly. [DIAL] After released. • After releasing [MODE is displayed instead of the frequency display, and only the " " icon blinks. 1 r W hile holding down [BAND], rotate [DIAL] to select a 2 desired bank group. 3 • Bank groups A to R, T, U, W and Y are selectable. • The bank groups can also be selected by repeatedly pushing 4 [BAND]. 5 [DIAL] 6 7 8 Bank group 9 10 t Rotate [DIAL] to select a desired bank channel number. 11 • Only vacant bank channel numbers are displayed. 12 [DIAL] 13 14 Bank channel 15 16 y H old down [S.MW](V/M) for 1 second to assign the channel to the bank. • R eturn to the previous screen before entering the select memory write mode. 20
