Faxing Adjust the brightness setting based on how light or dark your original is. Select: • Normal (default) for most documents • +1 to +3 to lighten dark originals • -1 to -3 to darken light originals NOTE: If you want to save these settings as defaults: a. Press to select Save as Defaults, then press OK. b. Select Yes, then press OK. If you do not want to save these settings, send your fax. These settings will apply only to the current transmission. Sending a fax You can send your fax in several ways. You can use: • the phonebook • Quick Dial • the numeric keypad • the Redial button Using the Phonebook to send a fax To send a fax to a number in the phonebook: 1. Press and hold Phonebook until the phonebook opens. 2. Press to select the desired number. 3. Press Start Black to send a black-and-white fax or Start Color to send a color fax. Using Quick Dial to send a fax To send a fax using Quick Dial: 1. Press and hold Phonebook until the phonebook opens. 2. To send a fax to a number in the phonebook:
1.
Press and hold
Phonebook
until the phonebook opens.
2. Press
to select the desired number.
3. Press
Start Black
to send a black-and-white fax or
Start Color
to send a color fax.
Using Quick Dial to send a fax
To send a fax using Quick Dial:
1.
Press and hold
Phonebook
until the phonebook opens.
2.
Press the number on the keypad that corresponds to the desired Quick Dial
entry.
3. Press
Start Black
to send a black-and-white fax or
Start Color
to send a color fax.
