14.1 Using PageScope Web Connection 14 14.1.3 Web browser cache The Web browser has the cache function; therefore, the latest information may not be shown in the page displayed using PageScope Web Connection. Using the cache function may result in an operation failure. When using PageScope Web Connection, disable the cache function on the Web browser. Reference - Some Web browser versions may provide different menus and item names. For details, refer to the Help for the Web browser. - With the cache function enabled, timeout occurs in the administrator mode, and after that, how many time you try to access, just timeout recurs. It results in the control panel of this machine being locked, and you cannot handle the control panel. In this case, turn the main power off, and then turn it on again. To avoid this problem, disable the cache function. For Internet Explorer 1 Select [Internet Options] in the [Tools] menu. 2 In the [General] tab, select [Temporary Internet files] - [Settings]. 3 Select [Every visit to the page], and click [OK]. For Netscape Navigator 1 Select [Preferences] in the [Edit] menu. 2 In [Category] on the left, select [Advanced ] - [Cache]. 3 In [Document in cache is compared to document on network], select [Every time]. For Mozilla Firefox 1 Select [Options] in the [Tools] menu. 2 Select [Privacy], and then click [Settings] in the Private Data section. 3 Select the [Cache] check box under [Private Data] select the [Clear private data when closing Firefox] check box under [Settings], and then click [OK]. 14.1.4 Online help function After logging in to PageScope Web Connection, click ; you can display the online help for the currently configured function.
