Macro Mode, Autofocus, The Macro Mode Setting

Auto Mode Macro Mode Macro mode is used for taking pictures of objects as close as 1 cm (0.4 in.). Note that the flash may be unable to light the entire subject at distances of less than 50 cm (1 ft. 8 in.). When using A (auto) mode, follow the procedure below. Macro mode can also be used with some scene modes (A 39, 40, 41). 1 Press p (macro mode) on the multi selector. The macro menu is displayed. More on Shooting 2 Press the multi selector H or I to select ON, and press the k button. The macro mode icon (F) is displayed. If a setting is not applied by pressing the k button within a few seconds, the selection is cancelled.
