Syncing with Active Directory User Information Setting the automatic update service The Active Directory user information can be periodically monitored, and changes to registered user or group information can be updated. Monitoring in order to automatically update registered users or groups is set to enabled by default, but settings such as the monitoring schedule settings, and which users and groups are target for monitoring can be changed. Note! When a new user that belongs to a group that is target for monitoring in the Active Directory is added, users can be registered to the printer until the 6 maximum number of users that can be registered to the printer is reached. After the maximum number of users that can be registered is reached, subsequent users are not registered to the printer. ❶ Start the server software. ❷ Click [Policy] menu > [User Registration on Active Directory].  When the window notifying the changed setting items is displayed, click [Yes].  When the window notifying that the setting changes are complete is displayed, click [Close]. ❸ Click [Setup]. - 141 -

Note!
When a new user that belongs to a
group that is target for monitoring in
the Active Directory is added, users can
be registered to the printer until the
maximum number of users that can
be registered to the printer is reached.
After the maximum number of users
that can be registered is reached,
subsequent users are not registered to
the printer.
Start the server software.
Click [Policy] menu > [User Registration
on Active Directory].
Click [Setup].
