UPS Uninterruptible Power Supply. A power supply that has a battery in it that maintains power to a computer or server in the event of a power failure. A UPS is intended to provide enough power for you to save whatever files you're working on and properly power off the computer or server; it's not meant to keep any system running for the duration of a power failure. USB Universal Serial Bus. The interface between your computer and the USB devices you plug into it. Your computer communicates with USB devices through the USB interface. USB drive A portable disk drive that connects to a computer with a USB cable, instead of being installed inside the computer itself.
