Getting Started Setting up your computer 49 To connect a parallel printer: CAUTION: Connecting the parallel printer cable while the computer is on may damage the printer, the computer, or both. 1 Connect the printer cable to the printer and to the computer's parallel port. Connecting the AC adapter The AC adapter enables you to power the computer from an AC outlet and to charge the computer's batteries. The AC power light on the computer glows when the device is plugged in.
