TROUBLESHOOTING Problem No picture Short message displays do not appears in the video monitor The sound suddenly goes off. Sound is heard from the speaker on one side only. Only the center speaker outputs substantial sound. No sound is heard from the center speaker. No sound from the presence speakers No sound is heard from the surround speakers. No sound is heard from the subwoofer. Cause Remedy The output and input for the picture are connected to different types of video jacks. Set "V CONV." to "ON" or connect your source components in the same way as you connect your video monitor to this unit. Non-standard video signals are input. "SHORT MESSAGE" is set to "OFF". Set "SHORT MESSAGE" to "ON". "GRAY BACK" is set to "OFF". Set "GRAY BACK" to "AUTO". "V CONV." is set to "OFF". Set "V CONV." to "ON". The signals input at the HDMI IN1 or HDMI IN2 jack are being output at the HDMI OUT jack. Video signals in the progressive format or HDTV video signals are being input. The protection circuitry has been activated because of a short circuit, etc. Check that the speaker impedance setting is correct. Check that the speaker wires are not touching each other and then turn this unit back on. The sleep timer has turned off this unit. Turn on this unit, and play the source again. The sound is muted. Press MUTE or VOLUME +/- on the remote control to resume audio output. Incorrect cable connections. Connect the cables properly. If the problem persists, the cables may be defective. Incorrect settings in "SP LEVEL". Adjust the "SP LEVEL" settings. When playing a monaural source with a CINEMA DSP program, the source signal is directed to the center channel, and the front and surround speakers output effect sounds. "CENTER SP" in "SET MENU" is set to Set "CENTER SP" to "SML" or "LRG". "NONE". One of the HiFi DSP programs (except for Try another sound field program. "7ch Stereo") has been selected. The sound field programs are turned off. Press STRAIGHT to turn them on. You are using a source or program combination that does not output sound from all channels. Try another sound field program.
