CONNECTIONS 5 Hook the speaker terminal wrench onto the WRENCH HOLDER on the rear panel of this unit when not in use. ■ Connecting the banana plug (except U.K., Europe, Asia and Korea models) The banana plug is a single-pole electrical connector widely used to terminate speaker cables. Banana plug ■ Connecting to the SP2 speaker terminals Connect Zone 2 or Zone 3 speakers to these terminals (see page 113). 1 Tighten the knob using the supplied speaker terminal wrench. Speaker terminal wrench 1 Open the tab. Red: positive (+) Black: negative (-) 2 Insert one bare wire into the hole on the terminal. Red: positive (+) Black: negative (-) 2 Insert the banana plug connector into the end of the corresponding terminal. 3 Close the tab to secure the wire. y You can also use the banana plug with the SP2 speaker terminals. Connect Zone 2 or Zone 3 speakers to these terminals (see
page 113).

Open the tab.

Insert one bare wire into the hole on the
terminal.

Close the tab to secure the wire.

models)
The banana plug is a single-pole electrical connector
widely used to terminate speaker cables.

Tighten the knob using the supplied speaker
terminal wrench.

Insert the banana plug connector into the
end of the corresponding terminal.

You can also use the banana plug with the SP2 speaker terminals.
Open the tab and then insert one banana plug into the hole on the
terminal. Do not close the tab after connecting the banana plug.
