PREPARATION CONNECTIONS Connecting a TV monitor or projector Connect your TV (or projector) to the HDMI OUT jack, the COMPONENT VIDEO MONITOR OUT jacks, the S VIDEO MONITOR OUT jack or the VIDEO MONITOR OUT jack of this unit. CAUTION Do not connect this unit or other components to the AC power supply until all connections between components are complete. y You can select to play back HDMI audio signals on this unit or on another HDMI component connected to the HDMI OUT jack on the rear panel of this unit. Use the "SUPPORT AUDIO" parameter in "SOUND MENU" to select the component to play back HDMI audio signals (see page 93). Notes • Some video monitors connected to this unit via a DVI connection fail to recognize the HDMI audio/video signals being input if they are in the standby mode. In this case, the HDMI indicator flashes irregularly. • Set "V CONV." in "OPTION MENU" to "ON" (see page 97) to display the short message display and parameter displays. • Set "GRAY BACK" in "OPTION MENU" to "ON" (see page 97) to display the parameter displays. • The SET MENU and parameter displays appear with the gray background depending on the input video signal format and the setting of the parameters in "DISPLAY SET" (see page 97). PREPARATION
Connect your TV (or projector) to the HDMI OUT jack, the COMPONENT VIDEO MONITOR OUT jacks, the S
VIDEO MONITOR OUT jack or the VIDEO MONITOR OUT jack of this unit.
Do not connect this unit or other components to the AC power supply until all connections between
components are complete.

You can select to play back HDMI audio signals on this unit or on another HDMI component connected to the HDMI OUT jack on the
rear panel of this unit. Use the “SUPPORT AUDIO” parameter in “SOUND MENU” to select the component to play back HDMI audio
