BASIC OPERATION PLAYBACK Playing video sources in the background of an audio source You can combine a video image from a video source with sound from an audio source. For example, you can enjoy listening to classical music while viewing beautiful scenery from the video source on the video monitor. 3 Press SLEEP on the remote control repeatedly to set the amount of time. Each time you press SLEEP, the front panel display changes as shown below. SLEEP Press the input selector buttons on the remote control to select a video source and then an audio source. The SLEEP indicator flashes while you are switching the amount of time for the sleep timer. Once the sleep timer is set, the SLEEP indicator lights up in the front panel display, and the display returns to the selected sound field program. y Set the "BGV" parameter in the "MULTI CH SET" menu to the desired setting to select the default background video input source of the MULTI CH INPUT sources (see page 96). Using the sleep timer Use this feature to automatically set the main zone to the standby mode after a certain amount of time. The sleep timer is useful when you are going to sleep while this unit is playing or recording a source. The sleep timer also automatically turns off any external components connected to the AC OUTLET(S) (see page 29). 1 Press one of the input selector buttons on the remote control to select the desired input source. Press the input selector buttons on the remote
control to select a video source and then an
audio source.

Set the “BGV” parameter in the “MULTI CH SET” menu to the
desired setting to select the default background video input source
of the MULTI CH INPUT sources (see page 96).
