7 E1 ISDN PRI DIGITAL LINE CARD This section describes how to add an E1 Digital Line Card and how to connect to an E1 service provided by the local telephone company. In the NBX NetSet utility, digital line cards are referred to as either cards or boards. For information about installing system hardware, see Chapter 2. This section covers the following topics: ■ Adding an E1 Digital Line Card ■ Verifying an E1 Digital Line Card Installation Notes ■ See "NBX Licensing" on page 56 for information on the number of E1 cards supported by an NBX Network Call Processor. ■ You can configure an E1 Digital Line Card for ISDN PRI signaling only. ■ The 3C10165D E1 Digital Line Card can be installed at a remote location and communicate with its NCP over a routed network. For information on how to set up a remote E1 card, see the NBX Administrator's Guide. ■ Before you install E1 Digital Line Cards, you may want to configure the Outdialing Prefix settings.
