6 Quick Start Connecting to the Ring After installing the modules and plugging in the power cord, you are ready to connect the hub to the ring by attaching the appropriate cables to the attachment ports, which are the two leftmost ports on the module installed in slot 1. To complete the connection to the ring, you must configure the attachment ports. For detailed information on connecting the hub to the ring, see the references in the "Road Map to Hub Operations" section earlier in this chapter.

Quick Start
Connecting to the Ring
After installing the modules and plugging in the power cord, you are ready to
connect the hub to the ring by attaching the appropriate cables to the attachment
ports, which are the two leftmost ports on the module installed in slot 1.
To
complete the connection to the ring, you must configure the attachment ports.
