2-12 Installing the Hub One cascade connector is supplied with each STP media port module. You can purchase additional cascade connectors by contacting your 3Com sales representative. Figure 2-6 shows a cascade connector attached to the first port of an STP module installed in slot 1. Installing Modules NOTE: You must install the management module first. It can only be installed in slot 0. It will not function in any other slot. Install the remaining modules in adjacent slots (in numerically ascending order) so there are no empty slots between modules. Do not insert the management module into the hub until you have installed the battery, which is shipped with the module. Refer to the section "Installing the Battery" earlier in this chapter for installation instructions.
