Knowing the Parts Left Side Refer to the diagram below to identify the components on the left side of the Notebook PC. 230mm DC Power Input Jack Hard Disk Drive (in tray) The following describes the components on the left side of the Notebook PC as shown by the illustration above. DCIN DC Power Input Jack The supplied power adapter converts AC power to DC power for use with this jack. Power supplied through this jack supplies power to the Notebook PC and charges the internal battery pack. Hard Disk Drive The hard disk drive is mounted in a removable tray. This tray is secured by a large black screw at the bottom of the Notebook PC. The removable tray allows easy hard disk drive swapping or upgrade. 17

The following describes the components on the left side of the Notebook PC as shown by the illustra-
tion above.
DC Power Input Jack
The supplied power adapter converts AC power to DC power for use with this jack. Power supplied
through this jack supplies power to the Notebook PC and charges the internal battery pack.
Hard Disk Drive
The hard disk drive is mounted in a removable tray. This tray is secured by a large black screw at the
bottom of the Notebook PC. The removable tray allows easy hard disk drive swapping or upgrade.
