CHAPTER 2 INSTALLATION AND BASIC OPERATION 3.2.8 For Network Interface Cable Users (For Mac® OS X 10.1/10.2.1 or greater Users) (1) Switch off and unplug the machine from the AC outlet and disconnect it from your Macintosh if you already connected an interface cable. (2) Turn on your Macintosh®. (3) Insert the supplied CD-ROM for the operating system you are using into your CD-ROM drive. (4) Double-click the Start Here OS X folder to install the printer driver and Remote Setup program. If the language screen appears, select your language. (5) Click MFL-Pro Suite to install. (6) Connect the network interface cable to the printer, and then connect it to a free port on your hub. (7) Turn on the machine by plugging in the power cord. Turn the power switch on. (8) Select Applications from the Go menu. (9) Open the Utilities folder. (10) Open the Print Center icon. (11) Click the Add Printer... button.. (12) Select AppleTalk. (13) Select BRN_xxxxxx_P1, and then click the Add button. NOTE: xxxxxx are the last six digits of the Ethernet address. (14) Select Quit Printer Center from the Printer Center menu.
