Resetting the data (initialization) If the sewing machine stops operating normally, the cause may be that an incorrect memory setting may have been made by means of memory switches, for instance. In such cases, it may be possible to restore normal operation by following the steps given below to initialize the memory setting data. 1 While pressing the RESET key, push the POWER switch (1) to the ON side. 0324B 0449B 2 Select the initialization level (1) from 1 to 3. 0413B 3 [To proceed with initialization] The mode will switch to initialization mode. 0324B (1) Level 1 is selected as the default. * The settings that are reset (initialized) will vary depending on the initialization level selected. (Refer to the table on the next page.) 0325B 0415B 4 [To carry out initialization] 5 [To exit initialization mode] 0448B "INITIALIZING" will be displayed and initialization will start. * If you would like to cancel the initialization procedure, press the RESET key. 0415B 0311B Normal sewing machine operation will then be possible. If the sewing machine stops operating normally, the cause may be that an incorrect memory setting may have been made by
means of memory switches, for instance. In such cases, it may be possible to restore normal operation by following the steps
given below to initialize the memory setting data.

While pressing the RESET key, push the POWER switch (1) to the ON side.
The mode will switch to initialization
mode.

Select the initialization level (1) from 1 to 3.
Level 1 is selected as the default.

The settings that are reset (initialized) will vary
depending on the initialization level selected. (Refer to
the table on the next page.)

“INITIALIZING” will be displayed and initialization will start.

If you would like to cancel the initialization procedure,

Normal sewing machine operation will then be possible.
