IS Scan Software Scanner Driver This section describes how to convert the printer into a scanner and how to use IS Scan, the scanner driver and IS Scan Plus, the application program. The functions of IS Scan → pages 27 to 30 IS Scan is a TWAIN-compatible scanner driver. You can run IS Scan from within a TWAIN-compatible graphics application program. The functions of IS Scan, such as the capture settings are summarized in this section. For another functions, refer to the Reference Guide or on-line Help. The functions of IS Scan Plus → pages 31 to 42 IS Scan Plus uses the IS Scan image capture function to capture images and then edit, enhance, save and print the scanned image. Note To enable the use of IS Scan or IS Scan Plus, install the scanner driver and install the Canon Colour Image Scanner Cartridge IS-32 (hereafter abbreviated to scanner cartridge) in the printer.
