On a riding mower to determine if a slope is safe to mow: (1) disengage the blade(s), (2) put the unit in reverse, and (3) try to back straight up the slope. If you can back up the slope, it is generally safe to mow. However, if you do not feel safe, or you are not completely sure, use this guide to determine the slope angle. feel
safe, or you are not completely
sure, use this guide to
determine
the slope angle.
WARNING:
To avoid possible serious
injury, do not mow a slope that is greater than 15 degrees.
If the riding mower is used with a
pull-behind
or rear-mounted
attachment,
do not operate the unit on a slope that is greater than 10 degrees.
