Understanding Printer Menus When your printer is configured as a network printer available to a number of users, the access to the Configure menus can be limited. This prevents other users from using the operator panel to inadvertently change a printer user default that has been set by the administrator. In this case, you can access the Stored Print, Tray Settings, and Replace Toner menus only. However, you can use your printer driver to override printer user defaults and select settings for individual print jobs. Using the Printer Menus Setting of Panel Lock Using the Printer Menus Stored Print This menu provides applicable printing services such as Secure Print and Proof Print. Secure Print Purpose: To print confidential jobs. The printer can hold the job in memory until you arrive at the printer and type the password on the operator panel. This requires 320 MB or more of RAM to be enabled. In addition, set the RAM Disk setting to On. Values: Prints the job, and then deletes it from printer memory.
