Installing Memory Modules Your computer comes with 4MB or 8MB of memory on memory modules-also called SIMMs (single inline memory modules). By installing additional SIMMs, you can increase the amount of memory in your computer up to 64MB. There are two SIMM sockets on the main system board, and each can contain one SIMM. You can use 1MB, 2MB, 4MB, 8MB, 16MB, and 32MB SIMMs. The following table shows the possible SIMM configurations; do not install memory in any other configuration. Installing Memory Modules
Your computer comes with 4MB or 8MB of memory on
memory modules-also called SIMMs (single inline memory
modules). By installing additional SIMMs, you can increase the
