Cleaning Around the Print Head Clean around the print head to remove any lint or fibers that have accumulated around the print head nozzles. 1. Let the ink cleaning solution soak into a new, large cleaning stick. 2. Turn on the printer. 3. Press the maintenance button. The Maintenance menu appears. 4. Press the up or down arrow button to select Cleaning around head, and press the right arrow button. 5. Press the up or down arrow button to select Yes, and press the OK button. The platen and print head move to the maintenance position. Caution: Do not move the print head or the platen manually. A malfunction may occur. 6. Open the printer cover. 111

Cleaning Around the Print Head
Clean around the print head to remove any lint or fibers that have accumulated around the print head

1.
Let the ink cleaning solution soak into a new, large cleaning stick.
2.
Turn on the printer.
3.
Press the
maintenance button.
The Maintenance menu appears.
4.
Press the up or down arrow button to select
Cleaning around head
, and press the right arrow
button.
5.
Press the up or down arrow button to select
Yes
, and press the
OK
button.
The platen and print head move to the maintenance position.
Caution:
Do not move the print head or the platen manually. A malfunction may occur.
6.
Open the printer cover.
