Overview System Instruments Flight Additional Features SYNTHETIC VISION TERRAIN AND OBSTACLE DATA Terrain alerting on the synthetic vision display corresponds to the red and yellow X symbols on the Inset Map and Navigation Map. For more detailed information regarding Synthetic Vision Terrain and Obstacle Data, refer to the Hazard Avoidance Section. In some instances, a terrain or obstacle alert may be issued with no conflict shading displayed on the synthetic vision. In these cases, the conflict is outside the Synthetic Vision field of view and the alert will have arrows indicating the direction of the alert. Obstacle symbols appear in the perspective view with relative height above terrain and distance from the aircraft.
