Overview System Instruments Flight EIS CNS Interface GPS Navigation Integrated Autopilot ENGAGING THE INTEGRATED AUTOPILOT An initial press of a softkey listed below (when the Integrated Autopilot is not engaged) will engage the Integrated Autopilot with the listed lateral and vertical modes (some modes may require an external navigator or NAV receiver): NOTE: The External Autopilot Unit's "engage" button will activate the Integrated Autopilot in its default modes. Refer to the appropriate vendor documentation for more information. Modes Selected Control Pressed Lateral Vertical Mode/Annunciation Mode/Annunciation External Autopilot Unit Roll Hold ROL Pitch Hold PIT CWS Button (if equipped) (press and hold) Roll Hold ROL Pitch Hold PIT AP HDG Softkey Heading HDG Pitch Hold PIT GPS AP NAV Softkey Navigation VOR Pitch Hold PIT LOC AP ALT Softkey Roll Hold ROL Altitude Hold ALT AP VS Softkey Roll Hold ROL Vertical Speed VS AP VNAV Softkey Roll Hold ROL Vertical Navigation VNAV GPS Glidepath GP AP APPR Softkey Approach LOC Glideslope GS Engaging the Integrated Autopilot The AP NAV and AP APPR Softkeys must have a valid VLOC signal or an active GPS course to activate the integrated autopilot. The AP VNAV Softkey must have an active flight plan and VNAV enabled to activate the integrated autopilot.
