Finding Waypoints, To find a waypoint

Finding Waypoints You can use the Find feature to find any waypoints you have created. See Marking Waypoints for more information. To find a waypoint: 1. Click the Find Places button , then click the Waypoint tab. 2. Enter the name of the waypoint in the Name field. As you type, an Auto Complete list of nearest matches appears below the field. You may type the entire name of the waypoint or type the first few letters and select the name from the list. 3. Click the Find button. A list of waypoints appears in the Places field. 4. Click the desired waypoint in the list. The selected waypoint is centered on the Graphic Map. 5. After selecting the desired waypoint, you can do any of the following: • To view the properties of the waypoint, click the Properties button. The Waypoint Properties window appears. See Editing Waypoint Properties for more information. • To create a route to the waypoint, click Route To It. nRoute generates a route from your current location to the selected waypoint. • To close the Find Places window and allow the selected waypoint to remain centered on the Graphic Map, click OK. • To close the Find Places window and return to the previous map display, click Cancel. 42

Finding Waypoints
You can use the Find feature to find any waypoints you have created.

To find a waypoint:
1. Click the
Find Places
button
, then click the
Waypoint
tab.
2.
Enter the name of the waypoint in the
Name
field.

You may type the entire name of the waypoint or type the first few letters and
select the name from the list.
3. Click the
Find
button.
A list of waypoints appears in the
Places
field.
4.
Click the desired waypoint in the list.
The selected waypoint is centered on the Graphic Map.

After selecting the desired waypoint, you can do any of the following:
To view the properties of the waypoint, click the
Properties
button.
The Waypoint Properties window
appears.

To create a route to the waypoint, click
Route To It
.
nRoute generates a route from your current
location to the selected waypoint.
To close the Find Places window and allow the selected waypoint to remain centered on the Graphic
Map, click
OK
.
To close the Find Places window and return to the previous map display, click
