Installing memory 1 2 3 CAUTION Static electricity can damage DIMMs. When handling DIMMs, either wear an antistatic wrist strap or frequently touch the surface of the DIMM antistatic package, then touch bare metal on the printer. The HP LaserJet 2300 series printers come with one DIMM installed in slot 1. Do not remove the preinstalled DIMM from slot 1. You can use slot 2 or slot 3 interchangeably for adding DIMMs. If you have not already done so, print a configuration page to find out how much memory is installed in the printer before adding more memory. See "Configuration page" on page 72. 1 After the configuration page is printed, turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord. 2 Open the top cover 3 Remove the side panel by pressing the release button and sliding the right side panel forward until the alignment arrows line up. 4 Pull the panel away from the printer, exposing the available DIMM slots. 5 Disconnect all interface cables. The HP LaserJet 2300 series printers come with one DIMM installed in

Open the top cover

Remove the side panel by pressing the release button and sliding
the right side panel forward until the alignment arrows line up.

Pull the panel away from the printer, exposing the available DIMM
slots.

Disconnect all interface cables.
