Click the Prepare for Shutdown button on the Shutdown dialog box. A check mark should appear in the check box next to Preparing for Shutdown under Controller Status. 4. If necessary, click the Refresh button occasionally to check status. 5. Wait for a check mark to appear in the Ready to Power Off check box before continuing. 6. Only after a check mark appears in the Ready to Power Off check box may you shut down the system. 7. If you choose not to power down the system at this time, select Return to Normal Operation before continuing. NOTE If using duplex or Dual Active mode, it is only necessary to prepare one of the FCArray Controllers for shutdown. Preparing one controller for shutdown also prepares the other controller for shutdown. The waiting time for one controller affects the other controller as well. 140
