Chapter 2 FCArray Assistant Software Information Software Modifications These software modifications are only required if you want to be notified of controller events. However, HP recommends making the modification now. DACEVENT Command Once the FCArray Assistant Server software installation is complete, the DACEVENT command must be modified to include the IP addresses or names of all the client systems used with this server. This is done by manually editing the DACSCM.CNF file. This file is located at: \WinNT\System32\Drivers\DacSrv\dacscm.cnf 1. Open DACSCM.CNF in a text editor, such as Notepad. 2. Modify the DACEVENT line manually. The DACEVENT line requires (after each -h parameter) the IP addresses or names of the client systems used with this server. See Table 2-1. See the text of the DACSCM.CNF file for details. DACEVENT Command Line Parameters Table 2-1. Software Modifications
These software modifications are only required if you want to be notified of
controller events. However, HP recommends making the modification now.
DACEVENT Command
Once the FCArray Assistant Server software installation is complete, the
DACEVENT command must be modified to include the IP addresses or names of
all the client systems used with this server. This is done by manually editing the
DACSCM.CNF file. This file is located at:
\WinNT\System32\Drivers\DacSrv\dacscm.cnf
1.
Open DACSCM.CNF in a text editor, such as Notepad.
2.
Modify the DACEVENT line manually.
The DACEVENT line requires (after each -h parameter) the IP addresses
or names of the client systems used with this server. See Table 2-1.
See the text of the DACSCM.CNF file for details.
