Chapter 4 Configuration The intended use of this field is to provide users with sufficient time to respond to a potential battery failure before it occurs. Therefore, setting the field's value near or above the Maximum Power level will result in a continuous alarm condition. NOTE Valid Low Power Threshold field values are between 0 and 65,535 minutes or 1092.25 hours. The FCArray Controller stores the value in milliampere hours, which may alter the value slightly. Current Power - This indicates the current power level of the battery pack expressed as hours or minutes of charge. This value changes as the battery pack charges or discharges. Maximum Power - This indicates the battery pack's highest charge level expressed as hours or minutes of charge. This value may change following a reconditioning cycle, when the Intelligent BBU has determined the battery pack's new ("memory") capacity. The change may be an increase or decrease, but is usually a decrease in the power level after the first or initial battery reconditioning. The battery pack's capacity to charge and hold a high charge level decreases as it ages. % Charge Level - This indicates the battery pack's charge level, where 100% indicates the battery pack has been charged up to the maximum level shown in Maximum Power. Display: - Affects the Power Level displays only, in Hours or Minutes per the option button selected. Hours - Displays the field's power value in hours and tenths of hours. Minutes - Displays the field's power value in minutes only with no decimal point. Refresh - Clicking this button provides a current update to the Power Level and Battery Status groups, without closing and then re-opening the Intelligent BBU dialog box to update the status. It is especially useful during a lengthy operation, such as a battery pack reconditioning. The Intelligent BBU dialog box can be left on screen during the reconditioning process and clicked periodically to update the battery pack status. However, as long as the Intelligent BBU dialog box is on screen, no other dialog box or menu can be opened in FCArray 59

The intended use of this field is to provide users with sufficient time to
respond to a potential battery failure before it occurs. Therefore, setting
the field’s value near or above the Maximum Power
level will result in
a continuous alarm condition.
NOTE
Valid Low Power Threshold field values are between 0 and
65,535 minutes or 1092.25 hours. The FCArray Controller
stores the value in milliampere hours, which may alter the
value slightly.
Current Power
- This indicates the current power level of the battery
pack expressed as hours or minutes of charge. This value changes as
the battery pack charges or discharges.
Maximum Power
- This indicates the battery pack’s highest charge
level expressed as hours or minutes of charge. This value may change
following a reconditioning cycle, when the Intelligent BBU has
determined the battery pack’s new ("memory") capacity. The change
may be an increase or decrease, but is usually a decrease in the power
