1 Introduction About This Guide This guide contains instructions for installing a D6077A upgrade kit to add a second hot-swap mass storage cage to your HP NetServer LH 3/3r or LH 4/4r. The HP NetServer LH 3 or LH 4 is the floor-standing pedestal configuration, and the HP NetServer LH 3r or 4r is the - HP LH4r | HP Netserver LH 3/r and LH 4/r Mass Storage Kit - Page 6
in this guide are specifically for HP rack enclosure product numbers J1464A, J1466A, J1487B, J1488A, J1500A, J1501A, and J1502A and the Compaq® 4000/7000 Racks. the fan assembly to the Fan 0 connector on the system backplane, which is shown in Figure 2-13 for the HP NetServer LH 3. 4. Insert the prongs of the other fan assembly into the Fan 1 holes in the accessory board guide, as shown in Figure 2-19. 5. If the secondary hot-swap mass storage cage is locked, unlock it with its key. Refer to the HP NetServer Ultra2 SCSI Hot-swap Hard Disk Drive and Tray User Guide, and install the disk drive modules into the secondary hot-swap mass storage cage. Install all required disk spacers and filler panels - HP LH4r | HP Netserver LH 3/r and LH 4/r Mass Storage Kit - Page 43
in the hot-swap mass storage cage. • Insert disk drive modules slowly and gently to prevent damage, as described in HP NetServer Ultra2 SCSI Hot-swap Hard Disk Drive and Tray User Guide. Chapter 2 Installation Step 11: Reconnect Power Cord(s) and Other Cables 1. Reconnect the AC power cord(s) and any other external cables. 2. Attach the power cord retainer for each AC power cord, as shown in Figure 2-32. During the Power On Self Test (POST) early in the boot sequence, watch the two LED apertures on each hard disk drive module.
