Step 5: Remove Fan Assemblies Before you install the SCSI cable, remove two fan assemblies to gain working space and access to the SCSI B connector on the I/O board. The fan assemblies are the same in the pedestal and rack configurations of the NetServer, but separate instructions are supplied because the NetServers are oriented differently. To remove the fan assemblies, follow the procedure for your NetServer configuration: • HP NetServer in pedestal configuration • HP NetServer in a rack For a Pedestal NetServer Do the following to remove the fan assemblies from an HP NetServer in pedestal configuration: 1. Do the following to remove the fan assemblies from an HP NetServer in pedestal
configuration:
