6. Make sure the printing environment is within recommended specifications. The printer picks up paper in a crossed manner If the printer picks up sheets in a crossed or slightly tilted manner, try these solutions. 1. Pull the input tray out completely. 2. Adjust both the left and right guides using your fingers and ensure that paper is evenly touching the end of the input tray. 3. Insert the input tray back into position. Clear paper jams This topic helps you troubleshoot jams and paper-feed issues. Introduction The following information includes instructions for clearing paper jams from the printer. Before you begin CAUTION: ● Jams can occur in more than one location. ● Do not use sharp objects, such as tweezers or needle-nose pliers, to remove jams. Damage caused by sharp objects will not be covered by the warranty. ● When removing jammed media, pull the jammed media straight away from the product. Pulling jammed media out of the product at an angle can damage the product. ● Use both hands to remove jammed paper to avoid tearing the paper.
