Starting HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI through HP Hotkey Support software (select products only) This section describes how to start HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI through HP Hotkey Support software. NOTE: You must disable fast boot to access HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI from the HP System Information application. To disable fast boot: 1. Turn on or restart the computer, and when the HP logo appears, press f10 to enter Computer Setup. 2. Select Advanced, and then select Boot Options. 3. Clear Fast Boot. 4. Select Save Changes and Exit, and then select Yes. To start HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI through HP Hotkey Support software, follow this procedure.: 1. From the Start menu, open the HP System Information Application or press fn+esc. 2. In HP System Information screen, select Run System Diagnostics, select Yes to run the application, and then select Restart. IMPORTANT: To prevent loss of data, save your work in all open apps before restarting your computer. NOTE: When the restart is complete, the computer opens the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI Application. Proceed with the troubleshooting tests.
