Appendix A: Batteries and camera accessories Managing batteries When the batteries are removed from the camera, the date and time settings are preserved for approximately 10 minutes. If the camera is without batteries for longer than 10 minutes, the clock is set to the last date and time at which the camera was used. You may be prompted to update the date and time. The following battery levels are displayed on the active display. Icon Level Full Description Batteries have 70-100 percent remaining 2/3rd full Batteries have 40-70 percent remaining 1/3rd full Batteries have 10-40 percent remaining Empty None N/A Batteries have less than 10 percent remaining Camera is operating on AC power The camera uses four AA batteries. Acceptable batteries include photo-lithium, "ultra" or "premium" grade alkaline, or rechargeable NiMH. For the best results with your camera, use photo-lithium or NiMH batteries.
