Modem module NOTE: The modem module spare part kit does not include a modem module cable. The modem module cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part numbers 613352-001. Description For use in all countries and regions except Australia and New Zealand For use only in Australia and New Zealand Spare part number 510100-001 510100-011 Before removing the modem module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 79). 5. Remove the following components: a. Bluetooth module (see Bluetooth module on page 81) b. Mass storage device (see Mass storage device on page 83) c. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 94) d. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 96) e. Switch cover (see Switch cover on page 103) f. Palm rest (see Palm rest on page 107) g. TouchPad (see TouchPad on page 109) h. Display assembly (see Display assembly on page 118) i. Top cover (see Top cover on page 130) Remove the modem module: 1. Remove the Phillips PM2.0×5.0 screw (1) that secures the modem module to the system board. 2. Lift the right side (2) of the modem module to disconnect it from the system board.
