3-24 Overview of Installing ProLiant 2500 Server and Hardware Options Installing External Storage Devices Optional mass storage devices can be connected to the Compaq ProLiant 2500 by using the Wide-Ultra SCSI connector on the back of the unit, or the SCSI ports on the optional Wide-Ultra SCSI Controllers installed. To install this option, refer to the installation documentation that came with the external storage device. The following illustration provides only an overview of this installation.
