Setup Menus Direct Print Data to the Print Manager The Printer list box lists the printers handled by the Print Manager. You can select from this list when the Use Network Printer (LPR) option is not selected. Clicking the Setup button will display a Print Manager dialog that enables you to specify printer settings. The Microsoft Windows Print Manager normally controls all print formatting, translates host characters to supported printer characters, and also provides a spooling facility. A disadvantage of using the Print Manager is that any print formatting escape sequences received from the host are stripped. If you want to use the Print Manager but disable its print formatting process so that the original escape sequences from the host are retained, select the PassThrough option. (Note that the PassThrough option will be unselectable if the printer driver currently selected does not support this facility.)
