IBM 3270 Emulation 6 Specify the settings required to connect to the host. Refer to the chapter "Host Connection Settings" on page 55 for details. 7 Click Next to display the Advanced Options dialog. 8 Click Next to display the Finalization dialog. If you would like the session to be displayed on the desktop as an icon, select Create Icon on Desktop for Session. 9 Click Finish. A TeemTalk session with the name specified in step 2 will be created and listed in the Start > Programs menu under Neoware TeemTalk. A shortcut icon will also be created on the desktop if requested. The IBM 3270 emulation is configured using the IBM 3270 Settings dialog. This is displayed in the TeemTalk emulator window by selecting IBM 3270... in the Settings menu. Refer to the section "IBM 3270 Settings" on page 173 for details. Using the TeemTalk This section describes the basic procedure for creating an IBM 3270 Emulator Window emulation session from the TeemTalk emulator window. 1 Display the Settings menu from the menu bar and select Emulation... to display the Emulation Settings dialog. 2 Select IBM 3270 in the Alpha Emulation list box, then click OK. 3 Display the Settings menu again and select IBM 3270... to display the IBM 3270 Settings dialog. 4 Select the required IBM 3270 Model: 3278/9-2 3278/9-3 3278/9-4 3278/9-5 24 rows by 80 columns 32 rows by 80 columns 43 rows by 80 columns 27 rows by 132 columns 5 3278 settings with the E extension provide support for extended attributes (supported by the 3279 as standard).
