Making sure that the bail (wire handle) is in the unlocked position, place the 8 Gbps SFP+ in the correctly oriented position on the port, as shown in Figure 9. 2. Orient a cable connector so that the key (the ridge on one side of the connector) aligns with the slot in the transceiver (see Figure 10). 1.
Making sure that the bail (wire handle) is in the unlocked position, place the 8
Gbps SFP+ in the correctly oriented position on the port, as shown in Figure 9.
2.
Slide the SFP+ into the port until you feel it click into place; then close the bail.
3.
Orient a cable connector so that the key (the ridge on one side of the connector)
aligns with the slot in the transceiver (see Figure 10). Then, insert the cable into
the transceiver until the latching mechanism clicks.
4.
Connect the other end of the cable to the appropriate device.
