Replacing the Front Panel Board (SR1530HCL/ SR1530HCLR) Caution: The front panel board is NOT hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the front panel board, you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power cord from the system or wall outlet. Your server system must be operated with a front panel board installed. 1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See "Safety Information" on page iii. 2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable. 3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see "Removing the Server System Cover" on page 28. 4. Disconnect the front panel cable and the USB cable from the front panel board. 5. Remove the screw that attaches the existing front panel board to the server system. See letter "A" in the following figure. Save the screw. You will re-install it later. 6. Slide the existing front panel board back (see letter "B") and lift the front panel board from the system (see letter "C"). A B C AF001591 Figure 83. Replacing the Front Panel Board (SR1530HCL/
SR1530HCLR)
Caution:
The front panel board is NOT hot-swappable. Before removing or replacing the front
panel board, you must first take the server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices
connected to the system, turn off the system by pressing the power button, and unplug the
AC power cord from the system or wall outlet.
Your server system must be operated with a front panel board installed.
1.
Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See
“Safety
Information” on page iii
.
2.
Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.
3.
Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see
“Removing the Server
System Cover” on page 28
.
4.
Disconnect the front panel cable and the USB cable from the front panel board.
5.
Remove the screw that attaches the existing front panel board to the server system.
See letter “A” in the following figure. Save the screw. You will re-install it later.
6.
Slide the existing front panel board back (see letter “B”) and lift the front panel
board from the system (see letter “C”).
