Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See "Safety Information" on page iii. 2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable. 3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see "Removing the Server System Cover" on page 28. 4. Remove the front bezel if it is installed. For instructions, see "Removing the Front Bezel" on page 26. 5. Disconnect the optical drive power and data cables (see letters "A" and "B" in the following figure). Remove the screw that secures the optical drive bracket to the server chassis (see letter "C"). Save this screw. You will reinstall it later. Removing a Slimline Optical Drive (SR1530HCL/
SR1530HCLS and SR1530HCLR/SR1530HCLSR)
1.

Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable.

Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see

Disconnect the optical drive power and data cables (see letters “A” and “B” in the
following figure). Remove the screw that secures the optical drive bracket to the
