Understanding the Dialing and Sending menu Use this Your Fax Number Your Fax Name Cover Page Color Quality Lighter/Darker Dial Method Redial Time Redial Tries Dial Prefix Dial Volume Scan Max Send Speed Auto Fax Conversion Error Correction Original Size To Enter your fax number by using the keypad. This number is shown on the cover page of outgoing faxes. Enter the name of the printer by using the keypad. This name is shown on the cover page of outgoing faxes. Choose whether or not to send a cover page with the outgoing fax. Choose to send a fax in color or black and white. Choose a copy quality: Standard, Fine, Superfine, or Ultrafine. Adjust the brightness of a copy. Choose a dialing method: Touch-Tone, Pulse, or Behind PBX (Dial Tone Detect Off). Set the length of time (1-8 minutes) before redialing. Set the number of redial attempts (zero through five times). Choose to enter a dial prefix for accessing an outside line or making national or international direct calls. Set the dial volume to off, low, or high. Choose to scan a document you want to fax before or after you dial. Choose a maximum speed (in bits per second or bps) for sending faxes. Choose to automatically convert your document to a digital image ready for sending. Choose to turn error correction on or off. Specify the size of the document being sent.
