Step 10: Verify setup Print a menu settings page to review default printer settings and identify all of your installed options. The menu settings page also indicates whether options are operating correctly. 1 Turn the printer on. After you turn the printer on, it performs a self test and warms up. During this period, the messages Performing Self Test and Warming Engine appear on the operator panel display. The self test and warm-up period ensure all components function and the printer is at the correct operating temperature. After the printer completes its internal tests and warms up, the Ready status message appears.
