Problem Auto focus function does not work. Recorded still pictures are not clear. Some playback images are skipped automatically. Although this unit is correctly connected to a TV, images cannot be seen. The images are squeezed horizontally. Scenes cannot be deleted. The images on the SD card do not look normal. If the SD card is inserted in this unit, it is not recognized. Check points ≥ Set the AUTO/MANUAL/FOCUS switch to AUTO. ≥ If you are trying to record a scene which is hard to bring into focus in auto focus mode, use the manual focus mode to adjust the focus. (l 62, 132) ≥ If you are trying to record small or finely detailed objects with [PICT.QUALITY] set at [ ], the images may break up into a mosaic-like pattern. Record with [PICT.QUALITY] set at [ ] instead. (l 45) ≥ The playmode is set to Change the playmode to (Intelligent scene selection). (All scenes). (l 70) ≥ Please read the operating instructions of your TV and select the channel that matches the input used for the connection. ≥ Change the [TV ASPECT] setting to match the aspect ratio of the TV. ≥ If both HDMI mini cable and component cable are connected, set the unit to playback mode. ≥ Protected scenes cannot be deleted. Release the protect setting. (l 77) ≥ Any scenes/still pictures where the thumbnails are displayed as cannot be deleted. If the scenes/still pictures are unnecessary, format the SD card or HDD to erase the data. (l 81) Please be aware that if an SD card or HDD is formatted then all the data recorded on the SD card or HDD is erased and cannot be recovered. Back up important data on a PC, DVD disc etc. ≥ If the SD card's write protect switch is set to LOCK, then deletion is disabled. (l 26) ≥ The data may be destroyed. It may have been destroyed by static or electromagnetic waves. Back up important data on a PC, DVD disc etc. as well. ≥ If the SD card is formatted on a PC, it may not be recognized by this unit.
