AV Using the AV Source (Pioneer AV Equipments) Chapter 7 XM Selecting tracks from the track title list Track title list lets you see the list of track titles on a CD TEXT disc and select one of them to playback. 1 Touch "TRACK LIST" in the FUNCTION menu. 2 Touch or to switch between the lists of titles. 3 Touch the track title in the list. That selection will begin to play. Using compression and bass emphasis You can use these functions only with a multi-CD player that supports them. Using COMP (compression) and DBE (dynamic bass emphasis) functions lets you adjust the sound playback quality of the multi-CD player. Each of the functions has a two-step adjustment. The COMP function balances the output of louder and softer sounds at higher volumes. DBE boosts bass levels to give playback a fuller sound. Listen to each of the effects as you select through them and use the one that best enhances the playback of the track or CD that you are listening to. 1 Touch "COMP" in the FUNCTION menu. If the multi-CD player does not support COMP/DBE, NO COMP is displayed and you cannot select the function. Touch COMP repeatedly to switch between the following settings: OFF - COMP 1 - COMP 2 - OFF - DBE 1- DBE 2 XM Tuner Listening to the XM (1) (2)(6) (3) (4) (5) You can use navigation unit to control a XM satellite digital tuner (e.g. GEX-P10XMT), which is sold separately. For details concerning operation, refer to the XM tuner's operation manuals. This section provides information on XM operations with navigation unit which differs from that described in the XM tuner's operation manual. • This Navigation System does not have the text scroll function. • With the Navigation System, you can operate one additional function: XM channel direct selection. ❒ Pressing the DISP button changes the screen display. ➲ Switching screen display ➞ Page 98 (1) Source icon Shows which source has been selected. (2) XM band indicator Shows the XM band which has been selected. (3) XM preset number indicator Shows what XM preset has been selected. (4) XM channel number indicator Shows to which XM channel number the tuner is tuned. (5) XM channel select setting indicator Shows what channel select setting has been selected. CH Number is displayed when CH NUMBER is selected, and Category is displayed when CATEGORY is selected. (6) XM channel name Shows the channel name of broadcast channel. 82
