Chapter 9 VDSL Setup 9.2 VDSL Line Setup Click VDSL Setup > VDSL Line Setup to display the screen as shown next. Use this screen to select the primary VDSL template, secondary VDSL template, and alarm template for each subscriber port. Configure VDSL templates in VDSL Setup > VDSL Profile (see Section 9.3 on page 106). Configure VDSL alarm templates in VDSL Setup > VDSL Alarm Profile (see Section 9.4 on page 123). Figure 49 VDSL Line Setup The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 27 VDSL Line Setup LABEL Port Primary Template Fallback Template Alarm Template Apply Cancel DESCRIPTION This is the port number of a subscriber port. Select a VDSL template for a port. The template is used when the line is first initiated. Select a VDSL template for a port. This template is used when the line failed to be initialized using the primary template. See Primary and Fallback VDSL Templates Example on page 104. Select a VDSL alarm template for a port. The Switch sends an SNMP trap (alarm) when a parameter value is over one of the pre-defined thresholds on the line. Click this to save the settings to the Switch. Click Cancel to clear the selected checkboxes in the Delete column. VES1724-56 User's Guide 105
