CHAPTER 33 SFP Threshold This chapter describes how to define the upper limits for the Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) module, the mini-GBIC transceiver installed in the SFP slot of the Switch. A trap is sent when one of the device operating parameters (such as transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and transceiver supply voltage) is above or below a pre-set threshold. 33.1 SFP Threshold Setup Use this screen to configure the upper and lower limits at the SFP slots of the Switch. If a specified threshold is exceeded, the Switch sends an SNMP trap to the SNMP manager. Click Advanced Application > SFP Threshold Setup in the navigation panel to display the screen as shown. Figure 175 Advanced Application > SFP Threshold Setup The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 131 Advanced Application > SFP Threshold Setup LABEL User Input Enable Apply DESCRIPTION Select this option if you want to apply the threshold settings configured at the bottom of the screen. Click Apply to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.
